What you can try

Everything in Personal, in the demo.

Load six months of sample data to see it all working, or put in your own numbers and see how your month really looks.

See where it went

Money in, money out and what’s left, with a breakdown by category and a note when something jumps from last month.

A budget that fills up

Set an amount per category and watch it fill as you spend. A quick 50/30/20 check is there if you like a rule of thumb.

Bills on a calendar

Every bill and subscription in one place, with a two-week heads-up. Mark one paid and it’s logged for you.

Debt payoff, mapped

Compare avalanche and snowball side by side, and see exactly how much sooner an extra payment gets you out.

Savings goals

Name what you’re saving for, set a date, and Quire tells you how much to put away each month.

Net worth over time

Add your accounts, cards and loans, and record a snapshot each month to watch the trend.

How the demo works

Three minutes from download to your first budget.

Download and unzip

Gumroad asks for an email so it can send you the file. Unzip it, then double-click to open it in Chrome or Edge.

Look around, or use your own numbers

Start with sample data to see everything, or start fresh and add a few real transactions. Add, edit and delete as much as you like.

Keep it if it fits

The demo doesn’t save anything, so closing the tab starts it over. The full version keeps your data and adds bank import.

Demo or full version

The only real difference: the full version remembers.

The demo is a test drive. When you’re ready to run your actual budget, the full version is a one-time purchase that keeps everything on your computer.

Questions

Good to know

Is the demo really free?

Yes. Checkout is set to $0, so you pay nothing. Gumroad asks for an email address so it can send you the download.

What happens to what I type in the demo?

Nothing is saved. When you close or refresh the tab, the demo starts over. That keeps it a true test drive. The full version keeps everything on your computer.

Does it work on my phone?

Quire is built for computers. The layout fits small screens, but whether a phone will open a downloaded app file depends on the device, so we recommend Chrome or Edge on a Windows, Mac, Linux or Chromebook computer.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Quire is a single file that opens in your web browser. Unzip the download, move the file somewhere permanent like Documents, and double-click it.

If I buy the full version later, do I start over?

The demo doesn’t keep data, so you’ll enter your numbers once in the full version. From then on everything stays, and moving between editions later is a one-click backup and restore.

Who do I ask if something goes wrong?

Email help@smallworksapps.com. Most problems take a minute to sort out.
